Welcome!!! My name is Vishnu Nanduri, I am a Ph.D. Candidate
in the Department of Industrial & Management Systems Engineering at the
University of South Florida (USF). I received a Master's Degree in Industrial
Engineering from USF (2005) and a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering
and Management from Visweswariah Technological University, India (2002).
My methodological areas of interests include stochastic optimization,
simulation-based optimization (reinforcement learning), and applied probability.
One of the major application areas of my research is in Energy and the
Environment.

Concurrently, I also serve as the Project Manager for a National Science
Foundation (NSF) Funded GK-12 project called Students, Teachers, And Resources
in the Sciences (STARS). The GK-12 project aims to reinvigorate, improve, and
advance the current elementary science curriculum in the School district of
Hillsborough County, Florida. Our GK-12 project (STARS) was among select few that were recently renewed for $
1.7 Million by the National Science Foundation after a competitive grant
proposal review in 2006.
