Founded in 1922 to recognize and honor civil engineering students and professionals, Chi Epsilon has 130 active university chapters in the United States.
American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
ASCE offers a variety of opportunities to get involved in their steel bridge and concrete canoe teams. As well as a great way to network with professionals in civil engineering.
Student Chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE)
The ITE Student Chapter promotes the advancement of transportation and traffic engineering by fostering the close association of students with the transportation and traffic engineering profession and the Institute of Transportation Engineer.
American Water Works Association (AWWA)
Florida Water Environment Association (FWEA)
AWWA and FWEA bring in speakers from engineering consulting firms, sponsor a faculty and student picnic, football tailgates, middle school water tower competitions, and participate in regional, national and international AWWA and WEF conferences. Students also participate in the FWEA design competition.
USF Emerging Green Builders
This chapter is active in green issues on campus (future construction of green/LEED® certified buildings) as well as bringing outside professionals to discuss green technologies and construction projects.
USF Engineers Without Borders (EWB)
EWB is a non-profit organization that partners with developing countries to improve the quality of life while providing international experience to professional and student engineers.
Engineers for Sustainable World (ESW)
ESW pursues sustainability projects on campus and the local Tampa Community. They are assessing campus water use and community sustainability awareness.
