The Mini-Circuits DFX Lab Engineering Design and Build Contest is held every spring and fall semester. The goal of this contest is to encourage innovative and creative engineering design and build in the creation of an engineering artifact that solves a real problem and is potentially marketable.
Prizes will be awarded as:
• First place -- $2500
• Second place -- $1000
• Third place -- $500
Any project that you have built in the Mini-Circuits DFX Lab that demonstrates invention and innovation – good engineering design – is a good project to submit. This could be a project completed for a capstone design course, as part of a student society event, or it could be a project you did independent from any of your classes or student societies. Projects that have been previously submitted are eligible (but if you did not win a prize on your first submission you may wish to re-think the project and possibly rework parts of it to make it more competitive).
Submit your video to gainesj@usf.edu by April 5th at midnight. Large video files should be submitted via dropbox or some other cloud-based file sharing service. Awards will be announced at the beginning of the 2019-2020 academic year.
