Students will have to conduct research in a grand challenge area of their choice with the approval of their mentor and oversight of the Steering Committee. The research will be interdisciplinary in nature and may overlap with more than one component. It will be required for at least two semesters. If students choose to pursue this phase on a higher level, a minimum of three semesters will be required. Upon completion, students will have to present their research outcome at the College’s Research Symposium. This cohort will also be encouraged to compete nationally at various professional-society organized events..
