Athanasios Tsalatsanis received his Diploma degree in Production and Management Systems Engineering and his MSc degree in Production Engineering from Technical University of Crete, Greece. He received his Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering from University of South Florida in 2008.

Currently, he is a postdoctoral fellow with the Department of Industrial and Management Systems Engineering, University of South Florida.

His major filed of study is in the design and control of intelligent robotic systems.

His research interests are:

-Information systems, data analysis and decision sciences

-Control of autonomous intelligent systems

-Sensor integration and sensor fusion

-Modeling analysis and control of discrete event dynamic systems
