Good GRE score (V+Q should be around 320 or more) and good TOEFL score (you should get the score of at least 90 if you are taking IBT, and your speaking skill should be around 26 or more)
Good grades during both bachelor's and master's degrees (your grade point average must be equivalent to A, and your degrees must have been obtained from a top-tier university of your country )
Good programming skill (and be willing to learn C++)
Good understanding of mathematics and operations research

Rui is a third year Ph.D. student in Industrial Engineering.
He received his M.S. in Management Science and Engineering and his B.E. in Business Management both from Donghua University, Shanghai, China.
He is currently focusing on Multiobjective Optimization and Building Energy System Optimization.
His research interests include Discrete Optimization, Energy Systems, Smart Buildings, and Evolutionary Computation.
Zulqarnain Haider (2016 - present):
Zulqarnain is a former Fulbright scholar and current PhD student at the IMSE department at USF.
His research interests include application of Operations Research techniques to transportation systems and Healthcare.
His current research encompasses issues related to sustainable urban transportation systems and conservation planning/environmental protection.
He received his BSc. in Electrical Engineering from UET Lahore, Pakistan and his MS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from University at Buffalo, NY. He has previously worked at Nestle and Lahore University of Management Sciences.
His is co-advised by Dr. Changhyun Kwon.
Alvaro is a third year Ph.D. student in Industrial Engineering. He received his M.S. and his B.S. both in Industrial Engineering from North University (Universidad del Norte), Barranquilla, Colombia. He is currently focusing on Multiobjective Optimization, more specifically in Mixed Integer Programs. His research interests include Optimization and Resilient Supply Chain Design.
Vahid is currently a Ph.D. student in Industrial Engineering at University of South Florida (USF). He got a BS degree from Tabriz Univerisity, Tabriz, Iran and an MS degree from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), Tehran, Iran in Industrial Engineering. He is interested in optimization and has several experiences in both tools such as solution methods and data analytics algorithms and fields like multi-Objective decision making, supply chain, transportation, cellular manufacturing, robust optimization, competitive location, and application of optimization in the healthcare area. He is currently working on bike sharing systems.
