Jie (Jay) Zhang is a computational scientist with expertise in mathematical modeling of fluid flow problems and numerical approximations of model equations. He earned Ph.D. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of South Florida in 2014. He obtained Bachelor degree in Aeronautics Engineering and Master degree in Engineering Mechanics (Focus on Fluid Mechanics) from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China, in 2008 and 2010 respectively. He has conducted simulations and numerical analysis on flows in various fields, for instance, interaction of high speed cross-flow for Aerospace Engineering (instructed by Dr. Chun-Hian Lee) and ozone disinfection process in reactors which is an interdisciplinary field involving Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Chemical Engineering (supervised by Dr. Andres E. Tejada-Martinez and Dr. Qiong Zhang).
