Welcome,

I am a doctoral candidate at the University of South Florida’s department of Industrial & Management Systems Engineering (IMSE).  I received a masters degree in Mathematics-Applied Statistics from USF’s department of Mathematics in 2007, a masters degree in Industrial Engineering in 2006 and a Bachelors degree from Moi University’s Mechanical and Production  Engineering in Eldoret Kenya (2002).

My research focus is reliability analysis especially of nanomaterials and nanodevices.  I am also interested in applied probability statistical analysis and design of experiments.

Engineering education:

I currently also serve as the Project Manager for a National Science Foundation (NSF) Funded GK-12 project called Students, Teachers, And Resources in the Sciences (STARS). The GK-12 project aims to reinvigorate, improve, and advance the current elementary science curriculum in the School district of Hillsborough County, Florida.

Our GK-12 project (STARS) was among select few that were recently renewed for $ 1.7 Million by the National Science Foundation after a competitive grant proposal review in 2006.
