The Air Force S&T 2030 Workshop hosted by USF will be organized and executed as follows:

As part of the registration process, participants are required to submit at least one idea (up to three maximum) associated with one of the six workshop themes, which are centered on the Air Force’s five core missions and the airmen that execute them.

The workshop will consist of theme-based breakout sessions in the morning and afternoon. Up to 30 participants will be assigned to attend each breakout session in both the morning and afternoon based on the idea(s) they submitted for presentation. Participants will be guaranteed to present at least one of the ideas they submitted during registration during one of the two breakout sessions they attend.

Each break out session consists of two parts, which will be orchestrated by facilitators who are assisted by subject matter experts and recorders. During the first part, half the session participants will have a fixed amount of time (~5 minutes) to present the idea they submitted during registration (see link below to download idea submission template). Those ideas will be evaluated and scored by all session participants via texting from their mobile device to an automated polling technology service. After a short break, the top 3 to 5 scored ideas will be further evaluated, with the opportunity to permit participant questions and discussion to further refine, modify, or even combine ideas to make them even more powerful and relevant to the Air Force. Again, those participants who did not present their idea in the morning will have an opportunity to do so during the afternoon session they attend.

At the end of the day, the top ranked ideas across all breakout sessions will be summarized for final presentation to all workshop participants. USF will prepare a final report for session participants and the Air Force detailing the events and outcome of the entire workshop.
