Summary: The video shows how NASA Langley Research Center tried to develop a new design for the rudder of an airplane, which has a very high demanding on the quality of the parts due to its harsh working conditions, in 1974. They built a new graphite/epoxy material for the rudder. The main manufacturing steps as well as testing ones were demonstrated.
