Numerical Methods: Are you an undergraduate engineering/physical science student who is taking a course in Numerical Methods?  This web resource developed at University of South Florida (Tampa, FL) uses a holistic approach to the course.  Currently we have completed resources for five out of eight topics for a typical Numerical Methods course.

Promal for Windows -  PROMAL (Program for Micromechanical and Macromechanical Analysis of Laminates) is an interactive software tool used to complement (not supplement) the senior level course -- Introduction to Mechanics of Composite Materials. The objectives are the following: First, once students are required and tested in conducting analysis of mechanics of composite materials, the software is then introduced to avoid repetition and tedious calculations. Second, allow students to carry their own parametric studies to see the effects of variables on the performance of composites.  Third, give a tool to conduct "industrial" type design of structures made of composite materials. This is a computer tool for Mechanics of Composite Materials Course.

Mohr's Circle Program -  This is a PC-based instructional software for use in teaching Mohr's Circle. Mohr's Circle is used to calculate principal and maximum shearing stresses on a 2-D element.

Spelling Program - This program is useful for kids in elementary school to learn their spelling words.  Three options - Hangman, Unscramble and Flash-It are available. For downloading and set-up instructions, click here
